A. Honey

It is widely used by people for its immense and known medicinal value. It has antibacterial properties and is packed with antioxidants which are beneficial for skin hydration and rejuvenation. It acts as catalyst in process of natural exfoliation which helps in keeping your skin supple and hydrated. It is thus used as hydrating scrub.

B. Lentils

Lentils or daal is a common kitchen essential but it also has very good exfoliating capacity. Urad daal is known for its effective exfoliating capacity which helps in removing the dead skin and brings glow to our face. It is very simple to make the Urad daal scrub. Soak urad daal overnight, grind to form a paste in the morning, add milk and ghee to the paste and apply on your face. Keep the mixture on for half an hour, scrub for a while and wash off. Repeat thrice in a week to see effective glow on face.

C. Oatmeal

It is not only healthy for someone on diet but also healthy for maintaining skin glow and lustre. It is one of the gentle and most effective natural exfoliant. Simple add hot water to the oat meal and let it settle for 5 minutes. Apply the paste and gently scrub with your fingers to exfoliate the dead skin.

D. Sandalwood Scrub

It is very effective which helps in gentle skin exfoliation to make your skin smooth, glowing and also healthy by removing dirt, oil and pollution. You can simply use sandalwood powder with rose water to make a thick paste, apply it and leave on till it dries. After that wash off with water. Alternatively a paste can also be made from sandalwood powder, rice flour, gram flour, milk and rose water, apply and leave for 20 mins. Wash off with lukewarm water.

E. Coffee

It is not only good for giving you the morning trigger but also is amazing for skin which helps in gentle exfoliation. It is rich in anti oxidants which help in removing dead skin along with lifting of sagging skin to make our skin more youthful and energise. Grind some coffee beans, add olive oil or water and make a paste. Use the thick coffee paste to rub on your face, scrub with help of your fingers and wash off after 10-12 minutes.

F. Sea Salt

It is one of the most effective scrub but since it is little harsh, it should be used on areas like elbows, knees, foot etc. It should not be used on face. It is granule like particles which can be mixed with olive or almond oil to make a paste and can be applied for scrubbing off dead skin from these areas.

G. Baking Soda

It is another simple and easy to make gentle scrub which is found on our kitchen shelves. It helps in rejuvenation of your skin as much as it helps in doing bakery and making cakes. It is easy to make and you only need to add water to make a paste which can be applied as scrubbing agent to our skin. It leaves our skin smooth and supple.
