Constipation is something that most of us face at some or other point of time which is not only awkward but lands us into an uncomfortable condition. Eat two oranges a day and prefer to eat it without removing the fibres.

C. Triphala Mixture

It is a traditional Indian Recipe which consists of three fruit powder that helps in effective digestion and regulates proper bowel movement. It helps in releasing us from constipation on daily consumption. The mixture consists of Gooseberry (Amla), Chebulic Myrobalan (Haritaki) and Bellirica Myrobalan (Vibhitaki) and one tablespoon of the powder can be consumed along with warm water on empty stomach.

D. Baking Soda

It is very effective in case of stomach ache as well as releasing pressure. It contains bicarbonate which helps in passage of the air and neutralizes the acid to alkalize stomach enabling easy movement through gut. Make a mixture of 1 spoon of baking powder along with 1/4 cup of lukewarm and drink it up.

E. Include more fibre

It is very important to check our diet and heat proper food to ensure proper bowel movement. In order to avoid constipation include lots of fibre in your diet which softens the stool and allow its easy passage. Some of the fibrous foods that you must include in your diet are apricot, whole grain bread, nuts, plum, potatoes, broccoli etc.

F. Flax Seeds

It has many benefits and helps in maintaining good health. It has high fibre content which helps in relieving constipation. A handful of seeds can be consumed every morning with warm water to keep constipation at bay. Flaxseed oil is also very effective in easy passage of stool as it increases the bowel movement. Mix one spoon of flaxseed oil in 1 glass of orange juice to start fighting against constipation.

G. Guava

The fruit has many known benefits in enhancing our digestive system which helps in easy passage of stool. Its intake helps in contraction around the lining of the intestine which lets the food in the stomach to easily pass out. The seeds and pulp both have high fibre content.  

These are some of the ways to keep a check on constipation which helps in proper bowel movement. Apart from these natural remedies out food habits and lifestyle also greatly influence digestion. It is important to maintain a proper diet and eat regular meals that includes spices like ajwain, turmeric etc which are good for digestion.
